Join Research Ambassadors and four Kelowna-based drag performers for a confidence boosting ‘werkshop’ in OLARA designed to set you up for success when preparing to be in front of a crowd.
Enjoy an introduction to drag culture, learn tips from seasoned performers, and practice loving yourself.
Attendees will learn how to:
✨Build confidence and diminish imposter syndrome
✨Capture and keep the audience’s attention
✨The mechanics of stage presence (how to hold a mic, use a prop, and move your body)
✨What to do when things go wrong
Snacks and drinks will be provided. This event will help build your skills for our upcoming In a Nutshell and 3MT competitions, the Undergraduate Research Conference, and all those classroom presentations!
